Jb's Seafood Market - St. Petersburg

Well priced takeout and market items. Service was absolutely stellar as well. Needed blue crabs for a crab sauce, but wasn't comfortable in killing the actual babies. Zach did it and was so enthusiastic about helping out the customers in addition to providing great advice. I've been coming here for a while, but this experience further solidifies how above and beyond JBs goes.

I called to see if they had live jumbo blue crabs in and spoke to Samantha, she told me they were expected in soon. She called me back an hour later to let me know they came in. I went there and bought the crabs, green muscles, shrimp, potatoes, corn, sausage, and had them cook everything. Also bought a quart of soup. The taste of everything was AMAZING. A special thanks to Samantha, Pops, and everyone else. If you like seafood and you are in Gulfport, St Pete Beach, or anywhere near by this area you must pick up food at JB's.

Crabs were mushy and small and they had no taste. They thrive on people using ebt and food stamps and the quality of the food is terrible. I won't be going here anymore and they have many other places that are better in st Pete .

Unbeatable prices for delicious LIVE blue crabs! My family and I are huge seafood fans and it broke my heart when my favorite Cajun crab place closed shop post-pandemic. My mom and I were on the hunt for a new place and let me tell you, this place fills the void. I was always under the impression that blue crabs were hard to come by here in Tampa Bay so it came as a surprise to me when my mom saw they were selling it this late in the year. She came across a random Facebook ad after Googling places for over a month. The people are super responsive on social media and helped my mom when she went in person to order. There is an option to have your order cooked at the place or bought fresh. We dont live closeby but are always up to make the drive. They have a nice special for live blue crabs: buy one dozen, get one free, so we decided to just boil our own batch at home and enjoy it with our own sides! The crabs were very clean and the small was not even that small! We have gone back on three separate occasions and were able to request female crabs 2 of the 3 times. We are happy customers and hope they continue supplying blue crabs.

Ok, here 's my take on JB 's Seafood. My wife and I ordered 2 pounds of snow crab and 1 pound of Dungeness crab. As well as 4 ears of corn, many potatoes, and sausage smothered in their liquid gold. It was the best seafood we had on our trip. And all this was for $69. You will not beat the prices for the amount of food you get. Plus they will cook it all for you. Staff was super friendly to top it all off. My only complaint, which isn 't really a complaint, is my Dungeness crab was supposed to be hot as hell as the guy I spoke to on the phone said. It didn 't even make my nose run...lol. But the crab was so delicious. We will be revisiting this place again!!
