Bidra med feedbackThey moved a little east on Olive and we finally made it there. We liked the updated look of the new place. We were very surprised by the updated prices though. Wow! We almost got up and left, but thought about all the rising costs of things and stayed. The food was very good. It was just like before. Our take away is this. We used to be regulars there before the move. Now, on a rare occasion will we spend that much for Pho. It was very good, but with as many great restaurants as there are, with prices that also offer food or better values than what we found here, we will not be coming back very often. As there are other Pho places around, and we know that they have good food, we will be very selective about when we will return. See what you think.
I was craving pho so I decided to come here on a weekend lunch. Side note: I love how many pho restaurants there are in St. Louis. We were seated immediately and had our order taken as well; however, it took them almost an hour for our food to arrive so we were kind of off to a poor start -1 star).I ordered the Pho Tai Chin Nam which had both rare and well-done beef. I think mine only had well-done beef but that was okay. I actually really liked the broth as it had a strong beef flavor. I did think the beef was a little bit too chewy but it went very well with the sriracha and hoisin sauce. Honestly, I would say this is probably the second or third best pho in St. Louis after Truc Lam.Overall, not a bad place to eat at all. The pho won't be mind-blowing but it'll definitely fulfill your cravings. The only thing is to budget some time when you come here as you might be waiting awhile for your order to arrive...
The spring rolls/egg rolls were pretty good. sadly the pho was very one note. many pho places don't seem to create a depth of flavor with their veggie broth in comparison with the meat broths. also the thai tea was only half filled
Fresh ingredients made my dish appetizing. The waitress was ver helpful with menu item selection. Went with the dry noodle dish, but want to try the pho when it is cooler. Definitely will be returning.Food: 5/5
Our server was great. Food was fresh and nice portions, seasoned well too. Good fruit shakes. They also have a vegetarian menu with good options.Food: 5/5
