Bidra med feedbackWe placed our order, waitress Valerie was pleasant. Received our order mine was the wring dish and the steak was almost rare as ordered medium. My partner's steak was medium well ordered medium rare. It took much longer to recieve food than the first time. After that the waitress didnt even look either of us in the eye and her whole demeanor changed. Unpleasant. We weren't upset. The redone dish tasted good. No issues after that. The manager didn't seem apologetic. They offer free dessert which was nice, but I felt overpriced for what we recieved and the lack of care was unfavorable. We will not be returning
Excellent Food. Wonderful service!! thank you you Samantha!! Friendly staff all around. Great smiles too!! Even the Manager Scott managed by walking around! Our favorite go to restaurant!
Hazelwood is a great place to enjoy a terrific meal at a good price point. Has warm aesthetics. Terrific service! Music was a bit too loud for ease of conversation. The only issue of contention was the seating assignments. Our reservations were for 4:00 pm on Valentine's Day. At the time of our arrival, the restaurant was not full. We were seated at a table for two, along a wall of several tables for two, at the first table. There was a couple already seated at the other end of the row. But, several times, the hostess would bring two guests and seat them at the table next to us, when there were approximately 7 empty tables open between us and the other two guests at the end of the row! This seating arrangement was very awkward for both the new guests and us. The first two groups of guests, who were brought to the table next to us, requested a different table elsewhere in the restaurant. Again, the restaurant was not full at that hour! The third set of guests accepted the table right next to us-again, even though there were the 7 empty tables along that wall! The next couple was seated next to that couple. Again, there were 6 tables open between them and the end table in the row. With only 12 inches between the tables, we were in each other's conversations-not private. Not what I had in mind for our Valentine's Day date night. Of course, eventually these tables would be filled and all of us in the row would be next to each other and overhear conversations. I get that. But, I wondered why the hostess didn't stagger the table assignments???? Especially when there were other open tables!
The service was slow. The chicken salad came on a regular hamburger bun which was disappointing. For the amount of chips, the plain plate (no garnish to jazz it up) and a regular ole hamburger bun for the price was ridiculous. Last time I was there the kitchen ran out of corn beef. I do not think I'll be coming back.
We visited to celebrate our 10th anniversary and we're not disappointed. Stellar service by Diana who effortlessly juggled a couple of large tables of teenagers alongside ours. We wanted for nothing and she made some terrific suggestions on food and wine that elevated our experience that much more. We both had the smaller cut of prime rib with gouda hashbrowns instead of mashed- highly recommend. Sides of perfectly cooked asparagus and sautéed mushrooms were the cherry on top. Bread pudding dessert shared was the perfect ending- like being wrapped in a big fuzzy blanket, it was the ultimate comfort food for a chilly and windy evening. Another excellent meal and experience from the Hazelwood!! Both back and front of house always bring their A-game. We feel incredibly lucky to have this place in the neighborhood. Cheers team!! You made our night a special one. ?
