Suruchi - St Julians

During the holiday, we stopped by Suruchi and were excited to see many vegan options clearly marked on the menu. Unfortunately, our waiter seemed to be confused about what vegan meant. When we asked if we could share a dish (which we could have), he said no and even recommended a non-vegan item. When I placed my order, I made sure to specify that I wanted everything to be vegan. However, one of the curries that was served had what looked like butter in it. After questioning the waiter, it was confirmed that it was not vegan, so they had to make a new dish. It was disappointing because the curries were delicious, but the lack of communication and understanding was a major issue. We may not trust them again in the future.

This restaurant seems to have a complete disregard for hygiene. We observed living cockroaches on the floor, dirty plates, and unclean toilets. The service was disorganized and chaotic. Despite ordering mild dishes, we were served overly spicy and unenjoyable food. Additionally, the staff was impolite and ignored our requests. It felt like they were taking advantage of us as tourists by recommending unnecessarily large portions. We ended up ordering much more than we could finish.

When we asked if a rice dish would be sufficient for us to share, he said no and suggested a naan bread, which I suspected was not vegan. Despite me specifically stating that I wanted my dish to be vegan, one of the curries arrived with what appeared to be butter. After confirming with the waiter, they had to remake the dish. It's a shame because the curries were delicious, but the communication and understanding of vegan options seemed to be a problem. We may not trust them again in the future.

Clearly characterized vegan options, tasty Indian food that is not disappointed, especially the entreen, good service. we stayed twice on our stay in malta.

What I really like in this restaurant was the choice they had, there are meat, vegetarian and vegan options marked clearly in the menu. the main dishes are quite large, all tasty, personal is really friendly and helpful.
