California Pizza Kitchen At Smith Haven Mall

We ordered chicken dumplings as apps and we didn't get them until after we paid the check. We each got pizza (BBQ chicken and sweet chili tai chicken). It took a while for the pizzas to get to the table. My sister requested extra toppings and it was not on the pizza. I was not impressed.

The waiters take a while to bring the food and when it arrives it is not what you asked for, the truth is, the service is very bad.

The service was really good and the price point is affordable. I ordered a bunch of different items such as pasta bbq pizza, buffalo cauliflower and street corn. Everything came out fresh. Our server was very attentive.

PLEASE READ!!! We come here for dinner, first, it takes 40~50min for the pizza and the pasta. Then, the pasta look VERY different from the picture on the menu, I don't see any liquid( sauce)on the picture, then we received a pasta that is very liquidity(a lot creamy sause)we ask the manager and she say that's how they cook it. And she gives a attitude towards we asking why it looks different from the menu. DON'T COME TO THIS STORE!! Maybe choose the cheesecake factory next door!!

My girlfriend and I came here for a quick bite. There was no hostess, so we sat ourselves at the bar. We soon realized that there was one person doing the work of 5 people. He was our waiter, bartender, food runner, host and working service bar. I give him a lot of credit because he was running the entire time. His name was Edgar and he was awesome for the 2 minutes we were able to talk to him. All of this was happening while the manager was walking around, just taking up space. Our seats at the bar gave us a front row seat to the kitchen. What a horror show! There was one employee who was on her phone the entire hour and a half we were there. Preparing salads and food with one hand while the other was on her phone. Only changed her gloves once while switching the phone back and forth between hands. It was gross and I wish we would have saw this before we ate our food. It was completely inefficient and unsanitary. The manager saw all of this and said nothing. It was very disappointing as Edgar was running around all over the place, you have the manager doing nothing and the one employee in the kitchen slowing down the entire process. We will not be visiting this location again and I hope corporate can come in and retrain everybody or hire/promote a competent manager.
