Bidra med feedbackA week in cornwall and try cornish core was on the wishlist (2018 world cheese champion). it's so hard to find. that, as explained to me the word behind the cheese counter at rick steins deli in padstow. when the king of cornwall could not get what chance I had. I went this evening along the street in st. ives, stumbled over this wonderful load, unfortunately closed, but I saw a dame (which turned out to be claire the owners) in the window. I tapped the glass, throwed my poor and asked if she had a core. they came to the door and tipped me that they had something, but they had now closed and theke steralized. they had not cut single bits, but were open the next day at 10 o'clock. I explained we would stay in port isaac and not be back. I was on the road and suddenly she ran after me. she said she and her colleague could not forgive herself if I could not taste this wonderful cheese, so he was specifically opened for me, which means that after my departure steralize again. I enjoyed the core very well and the braut I bought was also excellent. cherish this load when they live close, as a food champion like claire is a very special thing.
Wonderful staff, great selection of different cheeses cut to any size you want, try the garlic yarg, absolutely fantastic. If you are a cheese lover, it's a must visit.
We'd been hoping a cheese shop would open in St Ives for ages, and we have been blessed with this wonderful shop run with knowledge and passion by the wonderful Claire and Nick. A fabulous addition to Fore street :
