Bidra med feedbackVery bright light, empty restaurant, other couples on a Saturday night) no background music, no atmosphere, total time spent 45 minutes, could not wait to go back to our cozy hotel close and sit on the roaring fire with a cheeseboard as we are still starving. the starter was cold, the main was unusable, so it left. has potential, but seriously needs to increase its game to compete with the amazing standard of food in its rival hotel.
Whilst it initially took a longer time than expected to be served, the owner took the time to come to our table and personally apologise and offered to put things right. This made a huge difference and helped us to get over this as a problem. The food was amazing, very flavoursome and the presentation was also excellent. The service was also very good. I will look forward to returning some time soon. We have a static caravan across the loch so good to know we have such a great option on the door step.
The food was actually good but the service was really bad. We were in the restaurant for over an hour before we were served our starter. The whole meal lasted almost three hours nad we still had a 100 mile plus journey home when finished. Although the food was fine the whole experience is something I will not be doing again.
We stayed in a room with a view of the loch, and it was absolutely stunning to wake up to in the morning. The weather was also fantastic, making our weekend getaway even more memorable. We had a wonderful stay overall. We had dinner at the restaurant, and the price per person was between £60-70. The food, service, and atmosphere all received a perfect score of 5. We highly recommend trying the English Breakfast when dining at this restaurant.
We stayed at the hotel for 4 days and dined at the restaurant for both breakfast and dinner. I highly recommend it, especially the Chef's Signature menu. Personally, I would suggest removing Italian dishes from the menu. The service was great. Meal type: Dinner.
