Bidra med feedbackA tasteless fish and chips.. dry chips... had to fight to get a mug of tea. The outer kitchen (where the teas and coffees are made) looked in great need of a high pressure hose... The young woman that took our order was short, fat and spotty, totally unsmiling and dedicated to being unhelpful... grumpy and snappy when asked a direct question.. My partner ordered a salad.. a bland and tasteless salad. We were allowed mugs for our tea at the third time of asking... one was dirty.. What a disaster!
Today myself and a friend spontaneously took a trip to Wyevale Garden Centre to pick up a few small house plants as we have recently found ourselves as first time home owners. Whilst browsing for house plants, we were approached by Cathrine. My friend and I have no experience with keeping house plants so were very grateful for her help. What stood out to us the most about Catherine was her extensive knowledge and her kindness when helping us both. She was incredible! We both felt like she really wanted to be there helping us and in turn ended up buying plenty of new plants. Her approach to customer service was second to none! It was fantastic to meet such a helpful and kind lady!
We called in to the cafe after a trip to hospital at about 1.30 pm. It was quite busy, mostly over 60's, like us and mothers with small children. I had Hunter's chicken and husband had steak pie. The person taking the order was polite and helpful the service for the first course was fast. Food was tasty (chips not very hot) and there was plenty of it. We had Earl grey tea and were even offered a slice of lemon. Waited a little while for the second course but I suppose we could have asked. We took advantage of a special over 60's offer and had 2 courses and a cup of tea for under £20 for two -good value for money. Will visit again
We hadn't been to the café here for quite a while, so as we popped in for a few bits last Sunday afternoon, we thought we'd give it a try.Our first impressions were that there was a distinct lack of supervision. One young lad was all on his own behind the counter battling with the coffee machine, while the queue was increasing by the second!! Meanwhile, two other lads were aimlessly sweeping up around people who were eating and drinking obviously getting annoyed at dust being swept onto their food drink really??? Why weren't they told to sweep up later when customers had gone help the poor lad behind the counter who, by this time, was snowed under??By the time we were served, he was visibly flustered, all fingers thumbs things were going badly wrong. The coffee machine was obviously malfunctioning, we paid for our scones lattes by card the card machine had run out of paper he couldn't give us a receipt what???My husband insisted on a receipt the lad got a piece of paper to write the amount on then he couldn't find a pen that worked!!This is disgraceful not the fault of the young lad serving but the fault of the management booze ups breweries came to mind!!!The scones lattes were fine but the Manager/Superviser should definitely up their game, as there are plenty of competitors in the area just waiting to welcome their customers!!
Called in for lunch, decided on prawn fill baked potato with salad and coleslaw. The prawns were dry with no sauce, and on asking told run out of coleslaw without any comment at time of serving. Poor meal will give them a miss in future,
