Sainsbury's - St Edmundsbury

Me and my boyfriend asked for chicken roast and a beef roast got told they run out of chicken so I had hunters chicken. We spacifically asked for horse radish with beef roast when served as everytime it comes about 10/15 mins after meal by that time food has been eaten my boyfriend cant eat roast beef without horse radish like crumble and custard it just goes ..picking our knives and forks THEY WERE FILTHY!!!! I PICKED LOADS OUT LOOKING FOR CLEAN UTENSILS !!! THEN MEAL ARRIVES PLATES ON THE TABLE AND WAS TOLD THEY RUN OUT OF HORSE RADISH SO MY BOYFRIEND BACKED THE MEAL ASKED FOR MONEY BACK ITS A SUPERMARKET FOR GODS SAKE RUN OUT OF CHICKEN RUN OUT OF HORSE RADISH HOW??? THERES SHELVES OF THE STUFF 10 FOOT AWAY COMMON!!!!

Good for jacket potatoes and sandwiches, and anything with chips. Ambience of restaurant is awful, tucked in a corner with no windows.

I ordered two bacon rolls and two coffees. The restaurant wasn't busy, with only one person ahead of me in line. The coffees were good and a generous size for the price, but the bacon rolls took a very long time to be served. They tasted fine, but the wait was excessive for what was essentially a simple dish.

Have eaten here twice in the last couple of months, once with the family and once with my partner and both times experienced a long wait for food. The second time with my wife was during the week, so I wanted a quick lunch so I could get back to work. The service is excruciatingly slow and we kept asking when the food would be served but it made no difference. We waited so long we were about to give up (over 50 minutes) and when it did appear it was just a total disappointment. No time to send it back so we basically ate lukewarm, unappetising food so have absolutely no intention of ever eating there again.

Went to Sainsbury's cafe late Sunday morning and ordered two cooked breakfasts. As we paid, we were told there was a half an hour wait on food which was fine. However, after an hour of waiting we went up to complain and said our food would be with us shortly. Another 15 minutes went by and still no food. A member of staff gave us our money back and we left. Seemed to be that all the people who were waiting for hot food didn't receive theirs as other people were also complaining. Won't be returning.
