La Zaza Trattoria - St. Charles

I was impressed from beginning to end with La Zara. I had the veal with mushrooms which was very savory. My fiancee had the chicken parmesan and the gravy was excellent. La Zaza side of pasta was a standout. They are not afraid to use the garlic and that works well for us. I tried my friends Roasted chicken which must be marinated for hours because the flavors where infused straight through to the bone. The service was very attentive and friendly. They loose one star for not following mask protocol. None of the servers were wearing masks, so we won 't be back until masks are no longer needed.

The food was okay, not the best not the worst. 1 app, 2 entrees and 3 drinks was 99 which seems like it 's a little on the high side. But the service was not great. As we were leaving someone on the wait staff yelled make sure you wash your hands too at us because we were wearing our masks in the public area of the restaurant. Sorry we 're just trying to do our part and keep everyone safe and healthy. That 's the last time I go back to ZaZas.

We have wanted to try this restaurant for a long time. Went there tonight with another couple. See ordered a couple appetizers and four different dinners. The service was fantastic, even though the restaurant was really crowded. Food portions were quite generous and extremely good. Definitely will come back

Great Italian restaurant situated in downtown St.Charles. The food is delicious, and I have never been disappointed. The atmosphere is very welcoming. This past summer they have expanded seating to the promenade outside. The outdoor experience is very lively and reminds me of eating out in Florence.

The food was flavorful and fresh. The ribeye was delicious, cooked at the correct temperature there was just a tad bit too much seasoning. The salad was fresh and chicken was tender. Good quality and fast service
