Salvatore's Italian Grill - St Charles

This place get's packed, come early and eat dinner. There is great variety and great prices. Then stay for the band. Always a great local band. And room to dance....

This is a higher end Italian restaurant, with prices that reflect this, but the pricing on their lunch menu is quite reasonable, and the food is still great. I chose the pasta and salad item and loved the Pasta Primavera that I picked. The dinner salad with house dressing was excellent, and my meal came with a small bread loaf section that appeared to be fresh baked. Restaurants used to always give you bread with a meal, but this was the first time in years that I've experienced that again. My meal with a beer and a good tip came in at about $25. I'll definitely come here for lunch again the next time I'm working in this area.

Good food, great service! We're here a few times a week and it's always good! The pizza and pasta are my kids' favorites and I love the wings and salad!

We wanted to check this place out so we planned on having dinner and drinks and listening to the band. We opened the door and it was like walking into an ashtray. Yes they allow indoor smoking for whatever reason. The food looked amazing however there is no way we could eat a meal with people smoking everywhere so we did not order. We did order drinks and staff and service was fantastic. We had a large party and all left after a few songs due to the smoky environment. We went to another bar and grill and spent a bunch of money that we would have spent here. Bummer
