The restaurant has a lovely location with a fantastic view and private parking. They offer a good selection of beers and the staff are very friendly and accommodating, especially when we came with a large group.
I ordered the Moroccan lamb shanks while my boyfriend opted for the paella. The food was both high quality and incredibly delicious.
We had heard good things about the Pier 61 and finally had a chance to visit during the Royal Canadian Henley Regatta held on nearby Martindale Pond. Delighted to report that the restaurant lived up to its reputation. After a short wait, we were able to get a table on the patio along the old Welland canal and enjoy the green ambiance. There was some confusion around servers, which everyone was very apologetic about (we were offered a free dessert, a gesture I always appreciate when glitches occur), but once we got that sorted out we ordered the Mediterranean pizza, which turned out to be the best pizza we have had in the Niagara region. With a fresh, thin crust covered in a tasty pesto and topped with feta and mozzarella cheese, braised mushrooms and other grilled vegetables, it was a delicious and filling lunch for two. There is an adequate choice of local beers, including the outstanding Silversmith dark lager, and a wonderful choice of food items. We also enjoyed watching the ducks paddling around a few feet from our table! The service was personal and helpful. This was our first visit, but it certainly won't be our last.
Had lunch with my family last week, very enjoyable, food was excellent. My daughter and I both had the scallop risotto, EXCELLENT! Sandwiches lokkked very nice, my husband said that the sour dough bread was a little too heavy. Wanted to eat outside but the weather did not cooperate. Look forward to go back and eat outside. Very picturesque
