The Dukes Clubhouse - St Andrews

You might suspect that a restaurant in a location like this would be excessively priced and not great but you'd be wrong. Lunch was definitely much better than brunch, but both were worth the price. Steak sandwich was fantastic. The restaurant has lovely decor, good menu, great staff. Great view of the links as well.

Great food that is authentic for the area. We tried Haggis for the first time and loved it, including the vegetarian version.

Initially shown to our table by what i can only describe as a curt italian member of staff. However all other members of young staff who took our drinks order and meal order were very helpful and polite. We ordered the fish and chips which was fabulous, my only other issue was the plate/tray it was served on, it was not steady and every time I cut into my fish the plate spun round, not ideal! Our drinks and our desserts were also lovely. We had a lovely time despite a couple of small issues, so thankyou

We made a reservation beforehand, so were quickly seated in. Servers were all very nice and attentive. Their steak sandwich is really good! reat lunch time with a great view : Looking forward to returning soon.
