Fish was very good, not too greasy. Chips were a bit undercooked. Very slick operation. Good local chippy

Called the shop Monday to cater for my husbands 30th on the Saturday. Markyate fish bar couldn’t be more helpful. Really good price. The portions and the food was soo good. Not one thing was left!! Everyone loved it. Highly recommended. Staff are always friendly. They look after everyone. Amazing!!

This is a great fish and chip shop. The staff are always friendly and I have never had a bad meal here. During the lockdown, being able to call ahead and pick up fish and chips at a reasonable price has made me very happy. I have also tried the kebabs and they are pretty good. While this place may not be as good as Godferrys in Harpenden for fish and chips or Efes in Dunstable for kebabs, it is very convenient for the villages and the best option around for similar food.
