Bidra med feedbackI stumbled upon this cafe by chance, as it is located slightly away from the main area, and I am so glad I did! I received a very warm welcome and was given a bottle of tap water along with a small but intriguing menu. I had a pleasant conversation with one of the staff members while I decided on my meal, which turned out to be delicious! Although I resisted, they had a wide selection of cakes that looked tempting. The rest of the staff were all very kind and friendly. Even though I am not a local, I make regular visits and this cafe is now a must-visit for me, even if just for a coffee and a chat. I had never heard of The Camphill Village Trust before, but I am now a fan!
I visited this local gem while traveling from the USA and was pleasantly surprised by the menu offerings. I was delighted to learn that the Cafe supports individuals with disabilities by providing them with meaningful employment opportunities. The food, including toasted sandwiches, bacon/egg rolls, and soup, was delicious. The staff were warm and friendly. I will definitely be returning in the future!
This restaurant, operated by the Camp Hill Trust, is truly incredible. The service, particularly from Olivia, was excellent. The food was exceptional. I highly recommend supporting this unique establishment.
Our second visit to this little gem .. Cafe On The Corner. Excellent Value for Fresh Great Tasting Food and Excellent Service. We enjoyed ..Sweet Potato Avocado, topped with poached egg and Chilli Jam. Sourdough Cheese and Chilli Jam Toastiest. .. both with Salad accompaniment. Lemon Drizzle Cake and Coffee. Absolutely Delicious … especially the Chilli Jam. The staff ‘Shine” especially those in training …such a great Ethos behind it.
I’ve visited this lovely little cafe twice in the past few weeks. It’s a wonderful little haven tucked away from the busy high street. Staff friendly and welcoming, nice peaceful atmosphere, great place to get away from it all. I had the veggie brioche which was truly delicious. My favourite spot is the armchair by the cards and jewellery. On that note it sells beautiful handmade cards and gifts. And all for a good cause. I will definitely be returning here to support this great place and the work of the charity.
