Bidra med feedbackWe celebrated my Mom's 80th birthday here as she wanted a steak. You must order the rolls, they are little clouds from Yeast Heaven. My hubby's Duck was delicious, moist and flavorful. My shrimp appetizer and salad were amazing. My Mom's NY Strip was good, but not fabulous. It was not as tender as say Ruth Chris. Overall it was great and we'll be back. Wish I could give 4.5.
Don 't overlook this place. It 's just a little way down the street from the main hub of downtown and the storefront is kinda ' hidden. Every time we 've been in we 've experienced some of the most distinctive culinary treats. The bartenders are real professionals as well and have an abundance knowledge and produce some wonderfully unique cocktails. I usually skip the dessert when I go out to eat but, again, characteristic of their entire menu, there are some unexpected treats available that can 't be passed up.
We each ordered different menu items so we could try the food. This is billed as a steak house but there 's only one on the menu. It was very good and done perfectly to order. The prawns were also excellent. This is an ala carte menu so if you want extras like bread, potatoes, salads, etc it costs extra. The broccoli was very good and more than enough for two people. It was expensive and not sure it was worth it. The food was excellent but it kinda feels like you get ripped off by ordering and paying for things like bread. The menu had lots of Ramen items. Not sure how that fits steak house .
My husband and I just ate here for the first time and we are definitely going back. The ambiance is wonderful and perfect for conversation. The service was just right where we felt unbothered but taken care of. The food is outstanding! A very unique blend of different items that pair very well together. We thanked the server and the owner came over to thank us-very impressive. We highly recommend this restaurant!
Great steaks, honestly though I never have a problem sitting down without a reservation unless I 'm with a friend who is a POC. Then I get told it looks like we 're from out of town and get recommended a pizza place. To be clear you don 't walk in to a place with $80-150/head pricing expecting pizza so just the recommendation was offensive. I was left with that i know what the sign says but we really have no vacancies 50 's style extra polite racism you 'd expect in springfield but not from anywhere in the last two decades. Their mixed drinks use really low end liquor but have a premium price. I 'll stick to the slightly less offensive tavern on main, which also has good steaks and makes much better drinks.
