Bidra med feedbackMy daughters and I went on a daddy-daughter date at Pi-Squared. We always enjoy feeding the fish and turtles! My daughters even named the turtles a long time ago Sheldon and Shelly. The pizza at Pi-Squared is usually top-notch! Our visit today was below expectations. After ordering our pizza we went to sit outside to enjoy the view and search Sheldon and Shelly. We walked by every table and there was food or debris on them all, but no one was setting outside. I wiped down one of the tables, placed our drinks and plates and began feeding the fish. We noticed a lot of trash in the pond in several locations. There were children’s toys, pop cans and various other trash items. My daughters were stressed about how we can clean it up for them. Our pizza arrived pretty quickly, we washed up and began to eat. I noticed the chicken was dry and the mushrooms were very squishy. The pizza crust had a strange taste, like yeast dough that’s been setting out too long and there was barely any pizza sauce. This was very abnormal for Pi-Squared! Usually, we go on for several minutes after eating about how good the pizza was. After we cleaned up our table we started feeding the fish again. Sheldon came up and started having dinner with the fish, but Shelly never came. My were asking me if I thought if Shelly was ok, because there’s a lot of trash in their pond. They were asking if she could have choked on the trash? I had to assure them that Shelly was probably napping and we would probably see her next time we stop by. Our conversation continued about the safety of Sheldon, Shelly and the fish. If anyone has very small children, then I’m sure you know how the questions keep compiling. Not only do we come for the food, but also the scenery and wildlife. I observed three people just standing around playing with their earbuds, so they had time to clean up the seating areas. Hopefully, this isn’t the new normal because it would be a letdown.
The calzone was AMAZING. Pizza was decent but the hot wings were awful. I’m pretty sure they were frozen wings from Ingles or something because they were small, tasteless, and had basically no sauce. Luckily I only ordered a half dozen because I wanted to try them…
Pretty good pizza! Tasted good! Although my wife didn't like that, it was really oily inside! Overall, nice place, with good pizza! Parking: Lots of parking spaces
It is unfortunate that the service is so consistently horrible, because, if you like Detroit-style pizza, it is actually pretty good. The good news is IF you want to brave the customer service, after multiple terrible (and frustratingly similar) experiences, I think I’ve figured out a way to make getting a pizza slightly less frustrating: 1. Call in your order or place it online. Do NOT arrive to the store until at least 10 mins after the projected pick up time. 2. When you get there, wait patiently at the counter, it will sound like there is a party going on in the kitchen, but eventually someone will come attend to you. 3. When they tell you the order isn’t ready yet, do NOT go sit down on the bench. Remain standing at the counter. 4. Every 10 or so minutes when someone emerges from the kitchen, ask them if the pizza is ready. Otherwise, they’ll sneak it into the warmer without telling you and instead of getting the hot pizza you arrived early for, you’ll get a luke-warm pizza that’s been sitting in the warmer for 30 mins meanwhile you’ve been pulling your hair out while sitting on the bench. 5. Leave a tip and smile. You knew what you were getting yourself into when you went there.
The weirdo guy with the painted nails at the front, treated my family and I like garbage. We left. 0 stars.
