Port of Subs soda carbonation (lack of) terrible manager exchange Note one star for interaction with manager five stars to the 2 teenage staff I don 't think I have ever written a review before. But with my experience today at Port of Subs on Baring... I felt it necessary to post something. On two occasions within the last month I have visited and enjoyed sandwiches from this franchise. On both occasions, I ordered a soda. On both occasions the self serve soda lacked carbonation. On my first visit, I chose not to go in and say anything and drove off. Today after enjoying my sandwich in the parking lot and noticing the same lack of carbonation in my drink, I decided to go in and talk to the manager. When I went in, I asked for the manager and explained to her that this was the second occasion that I visited and purchased sandwiches and drinks from her location and found that the carbonation wasn 't good. It was flat. A customer in front of me, turned to me, and said I 've noticed the same thing. She stated that she mentioned something the last time around. The manager, came out and expressed that she had just changed the carbonation, and that everything was working just fine. I told her that the drink was still flat. I ask that she please taste test the soda because it tasted of flat. In a sarcastic manner she said no, I 'm sure...thank you and have a good day. I asked again... please just take a taste, she refused, and again in a sarcastic manner, said thank you and have a good day. She left the floor and went to the back. The two teenage staffers behind the counter empathized. I looked at them in disbelief. I asked one of the staffers behind the counter to please try the soda and let me know if I was wrong. The staff person put on gloves, went over to the soda machine and tested the carbonation with a few sips of soda. They stated that I was indeed correct and the soda was in fact flat. Actually they said it was partially minimally carbonated. 50 50 I 'm not sure if the manager was having a bad day or I caught her in an off human moment. But I left feeling upset. The two teenage staffers asked if I wanted a drink from the back where the carbonation was fine, but I declined. I requested instead that they hang a sign up on the store front soda machine, saying that it was broken and to please get it fixed. I was VERY IMPRESSED with the two front position staffers. They offered the professionalism I would have expected from the manager. I will contact the manager again tomorrow, and if there is further issue will take this complaint to corporate. @PortOfSubs Neighbors, have u experienced the same issue with drinks or the manager here? Went for sandwiches at 1:30 pm on a Saturday. We were told they didn't have the green leaf lettuce and out of onions. Out of onions at only 1:30, really? Sandwiches also had a weird taste to it. We'll be avoiding this location from now on.
