The Yellow House Kitchen - Southwark

Once again, thank you Yellow House for a fantastic meal. It is a great spot to savor delicious food and spend quality time with loved ones.

I absolutely adore this place. The ambiance is always pleasant and the service is top-notch. I have never been disappointed with a meal here. It is definitely one of my go-to restaurants in the area.

My birthday dinner was disappointing. We asked for one dish to be brought out as a starter three times, but it didn't happen and all dishes arrived at once. The burger seemed to have been cooked in a pan with a lid, resulting in it being very moist and steamed. The salad that came with my schnitzel had transparent leaves, indicating that it was old. It's possible that it was from Saturday, as we were the first customers on Tuesday and the restaurant is closed on Mondays. The schnitzel itself was also wet instead of crispy, and it smelled like old oil. The only decent dish was the pizza, but it was a struggle to get extra prosciutto on only half of it. The truffle oil on the pizza was overpowering. I wasn't planning on paying the £10 service charge, as only the bartender seemed to be doing their job properly. In the end, I just wanted to pay and leave. I don't mean to offend, but I won't be returning to this restaurant.

Excellent local eatery what more can you want? Dishes created and made with passion, great flavours and super chilled surroundings. Starters of bourbon sticky pork, haddock goujons were fab. Mains of Hake with miso braised butter beans and chicken caesar salad were spot on. The creme brûlée lived up to expectations and the vanilla cheesecake with apricots was so yummy I forgot to take a photo!
