Nevertheless, to get the food, but to judge by the messily handwritten A4 menu on the wall and what I have seen on other plates looks straight and decent.
Royal oak. nothing imaginable about this traditional no ruffle pub and its food, tasty, honest and filling, and that makes it great.
Live locally so have a lot of places in the opposite attempt, and so far this is one of the best pubs. eating and service are always good; it's not too expensive.
Well kept harvey’s best is a great thing and here it is in a cozy, traditional and in the best sense easy old-fashioned alcohol. one of the best things about london is still good pubs for the first time and the. royal oak is a winner. friendly atmosphere, great service and a beautiful atmosphere.
We used to come along for Sunday lunch quite often when we worked down in London until August 2018. We called in for drinks on a Saturday lunch time when down in London in mid July. There has been a change of ownership/management. The ambience...was great, it always was a friendly pub with a few characters adding to the proper pub feel. The selection of hand pull beers is good and there is a new menu that looked terrific but we had booked for dinner later in the day. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit, banter with the locals and enjoying a proper unspoilt pub. A must visit if you are in the area.
