Bidra med feedbackIf you're craving a breakfast sandwich with less bread, this is the perfect choice. My go-to is the egg and bacon with ketchup and plenty of pepper. It's so delicious that I wish I lived in Balham just so I could enjoy it more often.
If you need a quick breakfast on the go, this is the place to head for. An early start meant I didn't have enough time to eat, but the bacon and egg chapati was absolutely brilliant and just hit the spot. Very good value
Have always looked at their pop up stall outside Balham station with a mixture of curiosity and temptation and finally succumbed to the latter! In theory mine at least a bacon and egg chapati isn't really a suitable combination but I now stand corrected. Not huge but very tasty and at £2.80 an ideal snack.
Whether your daily journey takes you via Balham or not, on Thurs, Fri and Sat, make a plan to visit the pop up Balham Kitchen on the corner of the railway station crossroads. With prices that are impossible to beat £1.50 for a fried egg chapati, and with freshly homemade chapatis, its a breakfast worth any detour. Though its really all 'to go ' they do now have a couple of seats and a table so you can linger and admire the traffic jam at the lights!
This is one of those jems you hear travelers whisper about, cheap amazing food with great customer service! i was served by chipati matty who for a niced change didnt leave me stood in a que like an awkward robot and bothered to have a conversation (scary i know) backpackers this is a must so get down there now.
