Tommy Thompson's Grille - Southport

The only place in the St.James Plantation to get food but it is a must to visit and grab a bite to eat. Sitting inside out of the element or on the deck dock side either way the food in the Deli was so fresh and the salad bar was stocked with wide variety of choices. They also have spirts and a resturant/bar with a full menu. Take the time to visit and grab a bite or grab a fresh bottle of your choice. It is worth your time.

I was leading towards the $13 salad bar until I realized that salad, soup and some dry breadsticks was all they had. The ice cream machine is NOT included. Not worth the price for some leaves, shredded carrots and warm dressing sprinkled with croutons. I opted for the (chewy limited size) fish and chips for a bit more of the cost. Ugh... Did I order from the kids menu and was this leftovers reheated from the night before? Our server seemed less than thrilled to have us there. She didn 't even give us a bill, she simply stated that she will take our credit card when we were ready to pay. When did they stop handing out a check/bill? The view was great and the girl that greeted us when we walked in was nice, that was why 2 stars. First and only time I will go there. Nothing to write home about.

Had a delicious dinner with my family last night! Apps were great! Amazing ribeye and my husband said it was the best crab cake sandwich he has ever had! Perfect meal and perfect time with our family to end our trip! Can't wait to visit again soon!

To my boating friends... due to a bridge closing ? Breakfast is only served in the Members Clubhouse Grill right now. The public is welcomed for lunch beginning at 11 at TT. I went for a late breakfast and waited 10 mins until TT opened for lunch... the staff was very nice about this since I had come by boat. I told them an attempt to call resulted in ending up in someone 's voice mail. Unfortunately this reinforces the stigma SJP has in our community... it is not about US, the public... it is all about SJP!
