Wayside Market - Southold

The place to go to Southold. Great food breakfast lunch dinner. Great meat selection. We stop there to breakfast, every chance we get. Staff very friendly.

Unbelievable. Spectacular. I'm a total foodie, especially when it comes to steak. Whether I'm grilling for me or friends or pouring on a great steak place, I'm very special about my steak. Had Wayside with pure luck. Peter R and I met a great conversation about cuts and quality. He showed me all the aged beef. I was shopping for a big family friend. Unfortunately, my friends had already bought the steaks at COSTCO, which are okay, but can be hit and miss) I got a hand cut to compare NY Strip by Wayside. This is PRIME meat, and in a completely different class. Wayside's steak grilled with all the costcos for my friends. Tried them side by side and gave a number of happy friends samples of the Wayside Steak it was literally a mole falling experience. And one of the best steaks, if not the best I ever had. These include Peter Lugers, Bern 's Steakhouse, Delmonico 's, Capital Grille and Ottomanelli 's just to name a few. Customer service for me was Top Notch, friendly and the quality of the meat can't beat. The chain grocery store or large box cannot hold a candle on this beef. Is it expensive? The price is relative. You get what you pay for. For many of us, not the place you could buy every single day, I wished), but if you are looking to treat yourself or go friends here. Talk to Peter. Listen to his advice. I don't live in the area, but I think about how to get them to deliver steaks to me.

I think side market is great the food is good the service good and it should more like it on the island the owner is a big guy also lol

My wife and I had Isabella and the Wayside team prepare wraps and salads for our bridal suites for the day of our wedding. We were so pleased with the outcome as the food was delicious and the service was fantastic. We've also stopped in on random occasions for lunch and they make the best sandwiches! We would highly recommend Wayside for your catering needs :

This is my favorite deli! I love the staff and the owner, PT. Great food and service. It’s clean and very friendly. They have a new gourmet section that offers lots of unique foods. I highly recommend Wayside.
