I’ll start by saying, the food was yummy. However, for a restaurant in Southlake they missed the mark by miles. We came to celebrate my birthday, which was marked on my reservation, but there was no hostess to seat us…so they never even viewed the reservation.We were sat at a small bar table although out reservation was for main seating, not bar.We were immediately asked for our order upon being seated, despite not even being given menus.The menus did not have the brunch menu, I had to ask and they flipped over the menus to provide us with it. She did not have any information for us about food suggestions and the mimosa flavors were pineapple, traditional and cranberry…very odd.Like I said, the food is tasty, but service missed the mark. We were not given water, they only brought us one mimosa instead of two, never offered any suggestions for food and made ZERO personable small talk.The waitress had a massive yellow stain on her shirt, they were all wearing misc. clothing with ratty sneakers and Mis-matched shoes, car keys hooked to their belt loops jangling as they walked. They didn’t collect dishes or replace waters…It was just messy.Nothing was WRONG necessarily, I just felt like I was at a Waffle House. The light fixtures were covered in dust, my food came out wrong… The aesthetic of this place is GORGEOUS! It could be phenomenal but is FAR FROM.I’ve been here for drinks a few times and was disappointed as well but tried to give it a few shots before counting them out. Very disappointed overall.
I recently made a reservation through Open Table for a monthly meeting for the organization I am with. I called the day before to confirm the reservation as well as update the amount of people I expected. I was told by the person on the phone that her manager may need to call to confirm and ensure the restaurant could accommodate that many people (on a Tuesday night). I said that was fine and gave my contact information. I never heard anything from anyone at the restaurant concerning my reservation. My group shows up at our reservation time and finds out we were pushed. I received no call, text or voicemail previously to let me know the restaurant could not honor my reservation. We have used Jane in the past for our monthly meetings but will no longer do so. If Jane cannot honor reservations made through the Open Table platform, they should not use it and let people make reservations there. There are plenty of other establishments in the mid-cities area that would be happy to host a large group of people and I intend to use one of them for future events. 0 stars. Would not recommend.
Food was overpriced for how basic it was. Not crowded for a Sunday brunch in southlake should have been our first red flag. Our order got messed up twice. Would not go back and would not recommend Jane as a brunch spot to any of my friends.
Drinks are too expensive as well as the food. after we left here, we went down the street and received the same drink for three dollars less, would have drank more if the prices were more reasonable.
