Met up with family for a meal and a catch up. Had a Sunday roast which was a great size and very tasty! Every pudding looked amazing.

Have visited this pub for Sunday lunch several times and the roast is normally very good with succulent meat fresh veg and lovely crispy roast potatoes and gravy. This evening we pre ordered on their Christmas celebration menu and it was really disapointing The Turkey was tasteless the roastys were overcooked and well steamed so had gone really soft as if they’d been covered and kept warm. . The vegitables were diced swede carrots and pale coloured sprouts. None of it looked like the veg they serve on a Sunday . This cost more than the Sunday roast and was not worth the £26 95 that we paid for 2 courses. We complained to the waitress and she came back and said the landlady was sorry we didn’t enjoy it but she’d had no other complaints We then asked to talk to the landlady and she was very flippant and was not interested in what we had to say. Didn’t really get a satisfactory apology . We certainly won’t be going back in the future .

What can I say have just been to celebrate my birthday with family, the service was excellent, the food was outstanding, such good portions and very hot, and very reasonably priced, would highly recommend to anyone pay a visit

Had my 50th party here, would absolutely recommend for a party venue. Great food, great set-up in outside marquee, staff very good. Definitely no complaints.

The food here was really good and a reasonable price. My husband had gluten free loaded nachos with chilli con carne. He says it is the best gluten free meal he has ever eaten outside the home. 5 stars for food and welcome
