Bidra med feedbackThe menu reminded me of Paris, with a set menu offering 2 options for appetizers, main courses, and desserts. There were also tapas options, as well as cheese, cold cuts, and pate/terrine sharing boards. We started with a "feed me" board that included cheese, pate, terrine, and cold cuts. It was a good variety and just the right amount of food. For the set menu, the appetizer was the same terrine from the tasting board. For the main course, I chose the pan-fried barramundi, which was cooked perfectly with amazing flavors and a generous portion. We ended our meal with isle flottant, small poached meringues in custard that were very light and delicate. Overall, it was a great dining experience with excellent quality food.
This restaurant is perfect for casual conversations, enjoying a cheese platter, and sipping on some wine! The staff was friendly and provided great recommendations for wine selections. It may not be the best choice for a formal dinner since the dinner menu options are limited. It's more of a place to relax, graze, and enjoy a glass of wine. The outdoor seating area is lovely on a warm day, but service was a bit slower when seated there.
I visited this small restaurant with two male friends after a conference. It probably seats around 20 people. It seemed like the other guests were regulars and knew the host. The menu was concise but each section had something that caught my eye. We ordered beef tartare and a charcuterie platter for starters, followed by fish and steaks for our main course. For dessert, we enjoyed a cheese board and chocolate fondant. We thoroughly enjoyed each dish as everything was delicious.
A fantastic French restaurant in South Yarra. The head chef at this restaurant is superb and creates incredible signature dishes. We found all dishes to be presented super classy and very unique. This place doesn't have a large menu but shows you that you don't need a huge menu if you nail all your dishes. If you're looking for a romantic evening, give this place a go.
