Bidra med feedbackSadly this establishment has suffered a rapid decline from ok value for money to woefully below par. Visited 39/4/2022, chaotic is the best way to describe. Accepting far too many bookings versus staff available to serve. Long waits to place order and receive courses, if courses arrived at all!. My heart goes out to the waiting staff on duty Insufficient against the number if covers) who did their very best to deal with situation. Throw into the mix some awkward customers. However when obvious things were going seriously awry there was a noticeable absence of management to try and deal wIth the increasing customers complaints. Coffee order and didn’t arrive, invoice was wrong in the amount of almost £80 overcharge. No discount offered for lack of coffee not arriving even though appearing on the bill as chargeable items. Despite the best efforts of waiting staff to keep the ‘ship afloat’ the total lack of management support shows the contempt management holds towards that customer base. A long term favourite has now plummeted to an establishment I will now avoid like I would avoid the plague. Harsh I know but when it comes to spending my hard earned cash they are not worthy of a single penny of it. There are other nearby options available where you can anticipate a far better experience
So today I went to tuscanos in Shields with the family, I started with the gambonis (big prawns) some were raw, told staff and they asked if I would like another starter, I said no . Main came calzone pizza once again it was fantastic flavor and filling wow, 7 out of 10 for starter 10 out of 10 for main Staff fantastic 10/10 I would recommend this place to everyone
Fabulous place, lovely food and staff are brilliant, the mussles in white sauce are to die for!!! defo worth a visit or 3 :
Tuscanos is truly amazing and I can not recommend them enough, even created a trip advisor purely to write this review. Food is always tasty and staff can never do enough for you, fantastic value for money!!! Title says it all this is our favourite place to go, for lunch or for tea we can not get enough of tuscanos.
We’d booked a table for 6 adults and two children and followed the new hygiene protocols as did the masked staff. Tuscanos is only a small Italian restaurant that is well established and had served us lovely food years ago when we last went. Prices for the 3 course specials were under £10 which the majority of the group went for and included starters, potato skins or garlic mushrooms went down well with the kids especially. The children’s menu saw plenty of food and peas, beans as well as salad which is good to see. The pizzas (apart from the calzone which tasted a bit doughy) and the pasta dish were lovely and the burger filling. The staff were friendly even though it’s strange with the mask wearing situation. We did feel that the gap between the main and the ice cream or gateau was a bit lengthy which did spoil things a little but. Overall though a nice evening with family.
