The Fox At Shipley

We had a wonderful meal to celebrate our dad's birthday. We made a reservation and our table was ready when we arrived. The table was clean and the process of ordering and receiving our food was efficient and easy. The food was delicious and everyone enjoyed their meals.

I love this pub, but I have visited twice in the evening and both times they had run out of beef. I was not happy because it was still early and they should have been better prepared with more beef.

We visited the fox at on a Saturday evening, a family of four. We were greeted by a very friendly, smiley lady who showed us to our table and menus were given. First impressions were very clean and very friendly staff. We placed our...drinks order at the bar and pondered the menu which has a vast selection, we then placed our order at the bar and again excellent staff, when our starter arrived it was tasty and hot and the soup was extremely tasty. Our mains were second to none the Wexford steak was cooked to perfection and the burgers were amazing, so huge we had to take a doggy bag for one of the burgers. Then the dessert and my goodness wow wow wow the sharing platter was just amazing o wanted to order another to take home for Sunday lunch dessert at home. Quality food, excellent staff and above all for one on all mains. The Fox at Shipley is definitely worth a visit and we will be visiting again amd telling all family and friends. Keep up the excellent work.

Visited The fox this evening with my parents and my children, it is conveniently located between both parties with one coming from Telford and the other Birmingham way, this was our first visit but most definitely will not be our last. The staff that served...us throughout our visit were exemplary, from the moment we were greeted and seated, had our food orders taken, to the one lady especially (black adidas leggings and black gilet, dark hair) said something very kind to me as I left that almost bought a tear to my eye. All this was what made our visit second to non. I had a very tired year old with me curly haired Arthur) who wasn’t in the best of moods. The ladies went out of their way bringing paper and pens, toys and cars to the table to keep him entertained. The food was tasty with good sized portions, drinks were competitively priced with a good selection. Nothing was too much trouble for the ladies this evening. After spending the last years running pubs myself I appreciate how hard the trade is so I really cannot stress enough how impressed I was by tonight’s visit. Thank you, we will most definitely see you again soon.

Had a delicious meal here a few days.Very impressed with the prices and food. Had a takeaway dessert which was well packaged. Highly recommended, Will definitely be visiting again soon!
