Courtyard Cafe - South Somerset

Smashing place, food, staff. This is everything an excellent cafe should be, and more. Would happily eat here every day and try everything on the menu.

Located behind the gift shop in Somerton, this charming little coffee shop impressed us with its homemade cakes being prepared onsite. Although we arrived too late for lunch (which ended at 3pm on Saturdays), the food looked appetizing and enticing.

My companion and I went to this café this morning. Despite the extreme heat, the lovely welcome we received was not hindered. A helpful lady assisted us in finding a table where we could relax the most. We enjoyed well-made cups of coffee and huge slices of incredibly tasty carrot cake. Despite the cake being served cold due to the heat, it was still amazing. I will definitely return to this café in the future. Additionally, the gift shop filled with charming items that we browsed as we left was an unexpected bonus. If you're in Somerton, make sure to stop by this café!

Delightful cafe in lovely setting, with a sunny courtyard at the rear. Friendly helpful staff, really fresh quality food with good choices for gluten free which is a bonus. Cakes to die for, with at least 3 gluten free choices, and a barista who knows his stuff... Fantastic Flat White Highly recommended
