Old Leyland Gates - South Ribble

Absolutely awful food and service. Not suprised it was empty on a saturday after noon. Ordered the southern fried chicken flarbread and no salad on it and the chicken was so hard

The two meals for a set price are amazing value, food always hot very good quick service, friendly staff, best place to eat in leyland value for money

Attentive staff welcomed us , quickly took both our drink and food orders. Seating is comfortable and not cramped. Good choices of food from a fairly large menu and with deals like 2 for, or BOGOF prices are within most people’s budget. Service was fairly quick and staff ensured that we had everything we needed. We had 2 meals from the two for menu in Hunters chicken and fish and chips. Just like home cooked food without the need to wash the dishes! Overall a quick and pleasing experience with nothing but praise for staff

I wrote a bad review a few years ago and just wanted to update it. Since new management this place has become fantastic. Food is lovely, a great selection and knowledgeable staff. If you’ve had a bad experience before I’d ask you to give it another chance!

I went here for a pre-Christmas doggie lunch with my two humans. I chose a combination of sausage and chicken, off the doggie menu, nicely chopped up for me and the nice barman brought me a large bowl of water too. Everyone wanted to make a fuss of me, which was great and the service was good too. I shall be recommending this place to my doggie friends. My humans said they enjoyed their food too, (I pinched a few of their chips). I’ve asked them if they can take me again soon.
