Delicious lunch and dinner options for vegans and non-vegans! Highly recommend their creative dinner options which change on a weekly basis (currently only served Friday and Saturday). Inviting atmosphere with its friendly staff and owner/chef Melissa makes sure to greet you with a hello.

Quite a good vegan sandwich! Out of just a few places in the general area offering vegan food that they really make themselves, this was one of the best I've tried. A nice location in a wonderfully retro but vibrant feeling Knightsville (with a few outdoor tables to boot) adds to to the generally friendly and accommodating vibe.

The best chocolate brownies in all of greater Portland. They are dense, moist and super chocolatey. The chai latte is made from scratch with multiple spices, honey and black tea. It's so good it's addictive. There are vegan options, imaginative combinations of ingredients and serious recycling as well as tall ceilings and ample room for those worried about Covid.

Verbena's food and service is so amazing. I've eaten in the restaurant and Verbena did the catering for my wedding. The owner Melissa goes way above and beyond with helping and coordinating. Her attention to detail is fantastic, I have so many great things to say about our experiance. My wedding would have not happened with out Verbena and Melissa! We had vegetarians and gluten free guest and Verbena met all of our needs and our guest needs, but also looked and tasted fantastic. High quality food with a lot of taste! Highly recommend grabbing a sandwich in South Portland and highly recommend them for catering any event. Suburb all around!!!

The food is amazing and the owner is as kind and gracious as can be. She has the best catering for events (wedding showers, small gatherings etc). The quiche is to die for!
