This is an old fashioned family style diner. Good food, good people, and reasonable prices. It is convenient, across from the South Milwaukee Walmart and right in bus route 15.
I was pleasantly surprised when we stopped in for breakfast today. But I didn't go with breakfast I had a gyro and it was perfect.
Father's Day Sunday, 2023; 9:45am. Surprisingly, we had our pick of the half dozen booths that were open. Good thing. Within 20 mts, the place was packed with chatter and laughter! Our waitress, a young lady, was beyond personable and efficient. Our food came quickly. It was hot, generous, and yummy! So why 4 stars and not 5? They were completely out of dairy creamers for our (good) coffee. Only had chemical-based liquid Coffeemate. Yuck! Wish they'd also have a flavored creamer assortment to choose from. Aside from that? This is a cute, no frills neighborhood diner. With great owners, hard workers, and friendly customers! If you've not been there... Go! We will return. SOON!
The service was alright. Not bad, not good. The food was horrible, though. I've never had a bad crepe in my life until I went here. Part of it tasted like it was cooked next to my husband's eggs(which is okay, but that's how strong the scrambled egg flavor was), the strawberries were frozen and thawed then cooked so they were those gross pale mushy kind. The crepe itself had an odd flavor. You have to pay extra for those gross strawberries and whipped cream. There was hair all over the floor. Somebody else's comment said it was a hot pink george webbs. That's exactly what it looks like in there. I'm pretty sure it was a George Webbs. This place was so bad I made a private list of places not to go on google maps just so I never go here again.Kid-friendliness: They have a paper kids' menu and crayons to color. No booster or high chairs were mentioned.
