Worst Japanese food I’ve ever eaten. Well… tried to eat. The premises are rough, we should have gone next door as it was half full with diners. Don Don had no one there. I don’t understand why it has a good rating!

Can't go wrong here. Dondon bento box is still my favourite, don't need to eat another meal for at least half a day, only $20 and delish!

Great value for money . My uni friends and I have deemed this one of our favourite spots for a lunch or dinner break . Super affordable and delicious meals , and very quick service too !

Had a catch up meeting with uni friend and we chose dondon as the place to go when we were still at Uni. It's been a while for us not to go to dondon, last time we had when we were doing our project and the price for either beef chicken curry was still $6.90. We ordered chicken curry don and beef curry don, they were for $7.70 each. The taste of curry sauce was still consistent, it was not bad and the food served really fast. We believe that dondon is able to serve food faster than contemporary fast food restaurants like Maccas Hungry Jack. The food quality for the chicken and beef weren't that good but for this price it was still considerably as a cheap and not bad food. Even though some people are against of this quality of food, majority of them are still looking for something cheap and edible. Lunch time dinner time, dondon is always full of people. From past experiences, the customer service at dondon wasn't good. Fortunately, when we came to have dinner on that day, the customer staff was really great. She was friendly and did pretty good job. Although it was a busy time when I came but she still served customers with smile and patient. Despite all bad quality food, people are still going to dondon because it is still a cheaper option for a meal compared to other food around CBD or in Southbank area. Personally, I would prefer to pay little bit more $3.00 $5.00 to get better quality of food rather than going to this place. Our local favorite was packed. We dropped in and it was great . $20 for two very filling xtra large bento boxes. It was a great find. Super quick service . Will be back to try the other selections ..It was cash only...
