Shielings Cafe - South Lanarkshire

This is a really great cafe for any time to eat . The ladies Eve, Eileen and Karen are so friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend Sheilings Cafe

The staff at this restaurant are fantastic and provide excellent service. They were very friendly and engaged in conversation with us. The variety of fresh cakes and delicious coffee options is outstanding! I highly recommend this place. The mocha I had was the best I've had in a while, and they even had giant French pastries. It's impossible not to love it here!

The food at this cafe is fine, huge portions and a good selection of cakes. But the service is slow yes I know they are making to order, but really! There seemed to be plenty of staff, but they “didn’t see” tables that needed cleared, despite people waiting to be seated.

This cafe is bright and family-friendly. The staff are welcoming, friendly, and efficient, the food is top-notch and reasonably priced, and the atmosphere is lovely. I love coming here for a casual meal with my husband or a larger lunch with my extended family.

I was here for lunch with my Grandson as we'd been visiting the rural museum . I chose a cheese salad sandwich and it was possibly the worst sandwich I have ever been served. There was no visible butter on the bread. The pre sliced cheddar cheese was tasteless and rubbery and the salad consisted of a few leaves, no cucumber or even tomato. The whole thing was dry and I didn't finish it. Have been here before and it was ok but next time I think I'll pack a picnic!
