Royal Cottage - South Lanarkshire

The restaurant used to be good, but now the prices have significantly increased. My partner and I used to dine here regularly, as well as with our family during the summer. It's a shame because the food is still delicious.

This restaurant serves the worst Chinese food I have ever tasted. The Chicken Chow Mein was bone dry and lacked soy sauce at the bottom of the dish, which was a first for me. The Chicken Satay was more like Onion Satay, with mostly vegetables and no hint of Satay sauce in flavor or appearance. I used to frequent this establishment when it was known as the Royal Cottage for over 30 years, but I will never return. The food was bland, tasteless, and a waste of money. With the amount of competition in the area, I doubt this takeaway will survive. I have never complained about takeaway food before, but this experience was disgraceful.

I have ordered from here too many times to remember, the food is amazing and the staff are equally the same. If there is something that you require that's not in the menu or if you want to enhance something in the menu that's to your taste then dont hesitate to ask, they will be more than happy accomodate your request. #bestweechineseinek.

I would give this restaurant a 0 rating if I could but I am not allowed to. I cannot fault the food if you receive what you ordered. I had to get home delivery and make three visits to finally get the correct meal because they missed two items from my order each time. When I asked for a new order to be made up, another item was missing. The woman on the phone was rude to my partner after they made a mistake. We had to go back to the shop with our order again to get the missing item. Who is paying your wages? If you continue to mistreat customers, you will not have any business.

Would never use another Chinese takeaway in EK,this place can't be beaten....the delivery is so fast and piping hot,the food is amazing...5 star everytime
