Popinjay - South Lanarkshire

My family of 12 recently stayed overnight at The Popinjay. The meal was fantastic and the staff was very accommodating. Check-in was fast and simple, the room was clean and comfortable. We had a great evening overall.

Today we went for lunch and both had soup. My wife had the Pan Fried Chicken and I had the Steak Pie, both were delicious. The staff was very friendly and the atmosphere was great. I would recommend visiting this restaurant.

I took my parents out for a meal last Sunday, and we had an amazing dining experience. The food was delicious and definitely worth the price. The staff, especially Lean, was very friendly and welcoming. It was a wonderful atmosphere with beautiful people. We will definitely be returning soon.

My wife and I booked a meal at the hotel during the covid control measures and it was well organised with a safe set up. The staff were very attentive and informative. We both had starters and mains which were well presented and tasty. We...followed this up with a seat at the fire to enjoy our coffee and a couple of after dinner drinks. There is a good selection of cocktails and I found the malt of the month excelent value. Would hope to return under better circumstances, but it wouldn't put me off if we still had restrictions in place as the safety aspect is well controlled
