Bothwell Roadchef - South Lanarkshire

I never write reviews, but these beautiful humans totally deserve 5 stars from myself and my daughter! We stopped off at Bothwell Services, to charge my car, sat in and had a coffee whilst waiting. The lovely lady (Teri) from WH Smith lent my daughter a charger for her phone so it didn’t take charge from the car whilst charging. And the kind young man from Costa, (Lloyd), filled my hot water bottle to ease my back pain ready for our long stretch back to the midlands! They are both selfless souls! Thank you both. Wow if this is what the future holds ? I've had better experiance in a mortuary. Only a tiny costa offers anything in the form of food and a WHSmith offering preacked sandwiches. The staff are slow. Theres no music, no TVs its absolutely shocking. First and last time i'm ever going. Maybe the petrolstation spar offers more ? Forget to mention the huge potholes on the way in and out. Microwaved bacon roll, a coffee and a small pastry over £10! Tip go to cairn lodge a few junctions south.

The toilet area was swimming with water making the floor slippy and dangerous. On this basis decided to give the restaurant a miss.

Called in here on way down motorway. The place was horrible, dirty and i would say in these times dangerous. The sanitisation was non existant. People coming and going to tables with no wipe down. Toilets smelt,not clean. After all that the costa food was expensive and tasteless. If you can hang on go to the next services.

Stopped here for a late lunch on our way south. Only Costa open which was ok with us. Food and coffee Costa's usual stuff, no issues. Toilets were ok but could have been a bit cleaner.
