The Lotus - South Lakeland

After recently moving to ulverston I have been trying various take aways. The lotus staff were friendly and the food was made to high standards. Will definitely be coming back to try something new !

A very proficient takeaway .... well organised, efficient always keep to their time slot. Food fresh hot. Have eaten-in before CoV (currently takeaway only)... had great food, although the decor is somewhat faded

Good value, unobtrusively and genuinely friendly staff. Clear menu, comfortable and quiet premises. .

We reserved a table for 14 people and were warmly welcomed. Our orders were taken promptly, and the food was served very quickly. Everything was hot and delicious! The staff were attentive and even split the bill for us, making the payment process stress-free.

During an overnight stay in Ulverston, we visited this restaurant based on a recommendation from a bar staff member at a nearby pub. The establishment could use a refurbishment as it appears somewhat worn out, but the food was excellent. Our starters included spring rolls, prawn toast, salt and pepper beef, and salt and pepper chicken, all of which were generous portions and could easily serve as main dishes. For our main courses, we had chicken curry, shrimp chow mein, chili beef, and beef with cashew nuts, accompanied by rice and noodles. The dishes were all delicious and reasonably priced for our party of four. The service was top-notch, with a friendly and talkative waitress. Despite the outdated decor, the food is definitely worth a visit to this restaurant.
