Berrigan's By The Lakes - SOUTH LAKE

Went to Berrigan's by the lake last weekend for a friends birthday. After everyone received their meals, mine still had not arrived. We asked the waitress where my meal was, after going and asking the chief and then looking through their orders, my order wasn't there. The manager who had serviced me when i ordered my meal came over and explained there was no order there and there was no way i ordered a meal. This went on for half an hour and when we asked for him to look back on the cameras he said he couldn't until Tuesday!!! So i left with no meal and no money returned! On Tuesday he said the camera's at the bar do not work. He made it clear he didn't want to give me my money back but in the end 2 days later he did. This customer service is disgusting!! We will not be returning!!

We frequently dine at Fitzys. They offer a wonderful $12.00 lunch menu every day of the week. Their regular menu provides excellent value as well. The dishes are made with fresh ingredients and the portions are generous. The salmon and barramundi are particularly delicious. The atmosphere is relaxing and the staff is friendly, located right by the lake.

Berrigan's By The Lake is a new and sensational Bar and Restaurant with a new Owner Reg and Family. (Formerly the terrible Fitzy's with very rude and ignorant service and terrible food and service)Reg and his Family and Staff have transformed this venue and it is, now, an excellent venue for Family dining, celebrations, great bar snacks and meals from only $12 which includes five selections from the main menu each day. Take for example Osso Bucco beautifully cooked that falls off the bone, Fish and Chips to perfection in a light tasting batter, steak, chips and salad, pasta, barramundi and other choices that will delight your tastebuds and your wallet.It is the perfect venue for a Family reunion or get together with a large bar, separate restaurant, outside dining and a well-stocked drive through bottle shop.Now to The Staff ! A delightful group of, mainly, young Ladies who are welcoming and pleasant. Most remember your drink preference for locals and regulars of which there are many.One of The Manager's offers a bit of eye candy for the Ladies and is very popular with the retirees who visit often from Lakeside Village and other retirement villages. Make sure you say "hello" to Andrew!Plenty of parking out the back and if you fancy it a nice run in the park for the children or a walk around the lakes for you and Partner.For the Gentlemen there are SKIMPY'S Wednesday, Thursday and Fridays and a nice collection of girls frequents Berrigans. There is a pool table for the guys and girls and, of course, a TAB for the lucky punters.All in all a great cost effective and pleasant venue. It would be hard to criticise much here although one of the men's toilets in the main bar needs a cubicle fixed and the use of much more bleach to kill that old urine smell !! You will not be disappointed.

I will not be returning to this restaurant. The service was not great, and the food took a long time to arrive. When it did, it was cold. I ordered the barramundi, or at least that's what it was supposed to be.

My wife and I had lunch at Berrigans By The Lakes yesterday. The restaurant has a nice casual setup.
