Chevys Fresh Mex - South Lake Tahoe

Would not recommend to eat inside, order her to eat and take her home! we have our table perfect, I have a reservation on open table, but not even needed it. our waiter was terrible, we didn’t get our drinks until after we complained and our chips and salsa ended that they’re bringing out at the beginning, our eating wasn’t even “hot”. When he was asked about the drinks, he quickly got them as they waited for him, and asked about the leak, he didn't even ask how it was (the eating or anything, we didn't get any refills on our drinks) when he gave us the leak, the waiter just stayed there waiting for a form of payment while we saw the reception, it was unpleasant. not to go here unless they want to feel uncomfortable, we will not go back, at least at this place!

We have eaten many times at Chevy's in the past. We reserved the table for a birthday dinner. When we got there we were told that they were short staffed because the day before had been Cinco de mayo. We eventually asked if we could at least wait at a table rather than standing in the entryway. They eventually found us a server but it was his third day on the job and he was extremely confused. The food was delicious but we were poorly attended and there was a group in the back that was so loud that it was really hard to concentrate on our meal.

We went for Cinco de Mayo so it was crowded to say the least but the issue was more about the service. Very slow and very and attentive the food came out in three different time frames and incorrect. The drinks did not come out in any sort of timely fashion it was a pretty bad experience. However it is Chevys and even when setting the expectation kind of low….. this failed to meet that.

The day was crazy due to it being Cinco de Mayo. I did have to wait almost 2 hours for my reservation, but Areli Jasmine were helping in getting us seated ASAP. Our server Dre did the best he could with attending to all his tables.
