Bidra med feedbackHowever, we observed another couple arriving between 2:50 and 2:55 PM. They waited for a while, and a young man took their order at 3:05 PM, only to tell them that they were too late to order food. Despite their protest that they were ready before 3 PM and no one had taken their order, they were still denied lunch. They left without causing a scene. As someone who used to work as a Customer Services Director for a major company, I am always interested in how challenges are handled. Upon checking your website, I noticed that it states, "Our busy café is open six days a week (Café closed Mondays) from 10 AM to 4 PM serving breakfasts and lunches." Perhaps this is where the confusion lies. While we enjoyed our coffee, I overheard another couple experiencing the same issue. In situations where customers are seated close to the cut-off time, it would be beneficial to advise them to place their orders promptly to avoid disappointment. I hope this feedback helps, as we appreciate the great job you've done during the pandemic and enjoy dining at your establishment.
This is a lovely little café and shop, they sell great products and serve very good coffee, but do not bother with the Sunday roasts, in our experience they are very poor quality. I love my veg to be crunchy and lightly cooked, but the veg here was barely heated through and very tough, the meat was cold and bland, and the Yorkshire puds were so tough, they were almost impossible to cut, and the potatoes were dry and tough. The gravy was lovely, but had a hard job making the plate of food edible. Next time, I'd definitely stick to sandwiches or panini.
Our second visit we picked both raspberries and strawberries, the raspberries are fabulous, and bought some of the amazing white chocolate and raspberry meringues from the shop ,staff lovely and friendly without overbearing.I’m coming back for those raspberries, and any other fruit you may have .Keep it up
Fantastic farm shop/cafe staff very polite&friendly. Excellent food/drinks/cakes. Definitely recommend to family&friends. Very nice farm shopI had BLT, my friend had Ham both sandwiches on bloomer bread. Served with salad&coleslaw, coffee cake was fab, Thanks for looking after us
So yet again, another awful breakfast and nothing on my plate was from this farm. Where do I begin.... 1 The sausages were burnt and dry. Probably way too much breadcrumbs (or rusk) or perhaps they had been in the oven for too long. Either way, they were awful 2 Fried egg was very greasy and I got a mouthful of eggshell ! 3 Bacon was tough probably in oven too long 4 Mushrooms were fresh (out of a tin) 5 My Sautéed potatoes were burnt on one side and still hard 6 The cutlery was mis matched. very small fork and large knife. One could perhaps forgive this unpleasant breakfast if this place was busy but.... I was the only one there, just as they opened this morning. There can be no excuse for this awful food, presentation and lack of care and attention. So I suggest if you like the setting (which is the only positive thing) and can put up with awful food, then do pay them a visit. But it's a no from me.
