The Tulip Queen By Marstons Inn

I visited this restaurant a few weeks ago on a Thursday night for dinner and to participate in the pub's weekly quiz. I ordered the steak and drink deal which was a great value. The food was delicious, the staff was friendly, and the quiz was entertaining - all you needed was your phone!

The food at this restaurant was excellent, but the customer service from one lady was terrible. She appeared miserable when we were ordering drinks, and a simple smile would have been appreciated. It felt like she didn't want us there at all, and she was very blunt in her interactions with us. I believe she may have been one of the managers, so there was no excuse for her behavior, especially since the restaurant wasn't busy at the time. I was disappointed by her attitude. Additionally, my brother needed to show ID for his drinks, but he didn't have it on him. While this is understandable, the lady was very rude about it.

The service was very poor, we got the Carvery which had beef, gammon, turkey, the beef was like boot rubber couldn't chew is so left it, No turnips, the roast potatoes were burnt no flavour, the mint sauce etc where dirty I asked the man serving the carvery where the knifes and forks were he was quite rude and said they will; fetch them you have not sat down, well part of our family had sat down and was waiting to eat, in the end i had to go find them myself, The desserts was Apple Crumble custard it should have been called Apple biscuit crumbs as was defiantly not crumble ! and the custard well think that was on rations because it was such a small amount I struggles to swallow the crumbs and apple not worth the price. I shall not be returning.

Food was unreal! I will definitely be coming back. The prices are outstanding, especially as the meals are so good. 10/10 experience

Great pub, Staff helpful and friendly. Food and drinks very good and reasonable price. Will be coming back.
