The Dog - South Gloucestershire

The staff at the restaurant were fantastic, being lovely, friendly, and professional. However, the food was disappointing. We all ordered roasts, but the food arrived on cold plates and the only hot item was the roast potatoes. The meat was overcooked and the vegetables were undercooked. We have dined at The Dog multiple times and the food has always been excellent, but today's experience was very disappointing.

I went to this restaurant for Sunday lunch and found the food to be terrible. The roast chicken was served frozen and reheated in the microwave, making it tasteless and hard. The pork loin was dry and tasteless, and we were unable to even cut it. When we complained, no one would speak to us and said they were too busy. The service was terrible and I will not be returning.

This pub is a well run establishment that does amazing food. We stayed in Old Sodbury for 3 nights and ate here every evening. Had a different choice each time and they were all really good. The Lamb was my favourite really tasty . The staff were very friendly and polite too making you feel really welcome
