Halfway House Pub - South Derbyshire

We are a walking club and had booked in for Sunday lunch. Excellent food and lovely staff can't recommend it high enough.

Seven of us walked here for a late lunch after a longish walk around Conkers. Good beer, friendly service and great food.

Wow!!! Just had the haloumi fries to start and the fillet steak with peppercorn sauce for my main. Absolutely amazing!! Wife had the arancini balls and black and blue chicken which I obviously had some of which again did not disappoint. I could cut my medium rare steak with a butter knife. It was so tender and full of flavour. Service was great and attentive compliments to the chefs. Highly recommend a visit. I will be back again very soon to work my way through the menu!!!

Very good service, friendly staff . Food is excellent this is our 3rd visit having tried the steak sandwich and the fish finger sandwich from the Saturday lunch menu and then coming for the amazing Sunday lunch. All the food is fresh and cooked to order and plentiful, the staff are friendly service is good as is the atmosphere

I visited with a friend for food on Italian night, the welcome by the staff was lovely upon arrival. We were looked after throughout, checking on us regularly for drinks. Food was outstanding, I’d over ordered so could not finish. Looking forward to my return visit soon. Great little pub
