Bidra med feedbackA great local pub with excellent customer service, locally sourced food, a chef with a passion to create great dishes and front of house staff that make the customer experience seamless. A simple seasonal menu with well cooked dishes and a relaxed atmosphere.
Had a lovely Sunday lunch here today with my son. We both opted for the Vegan option although we are not vegan. Staff took care to ensure we weren’t offered anything inappropriate for vegans, like the accompanying cauliflower cheese. Lots of variety in the vegetables on the side. Overall good value for money,.
Lovely to see Nick and the team back at The Plough ... Great food great music ... good vibe ... freindly crowd ... a free house deserving of support in a shrinking hospitality market ... Loved the Sunday Roast ...
Great Pub, Great Atmosphere. The Food is amazing , we have visited for fish and chips on a Friday and also for the roast on a Sunday , they use good quality meats, fish and its so tasty. I would definitely recommend popping in if you are in the area and even if you are not its worth the travel.
This is a very special pub and it 's great to have them back open again. They have live music, DJs, friendly staff, ale festivals... Closed for a year or so, they were sorely missed. Anyway, we visited for a Sunday lunch. It was Meat Up Cambs , a street food vendor, in the kitchen. We 're veggie and my halloumi summer salad very green, included al dente green beans was 10/10 the best halloumi I 've ever tasted! (seasoned and deep fried I think). My wife 's nut roast was great too, homemade, with a nice gooey Hoi Sin type flavour lending it an Asian vibe. Customer service at the bar was friendly as ever. The fries with our kids ' meals were in the super league of fries browned, hand cut, moreish. Long may these inventive pub owners run this place. It 's a unique gem, and is genuinely better than most of the pubs in Cambridge, but is just a little bit out in the beautiful south Cambridgeshire countryside, the beautiful village of Shepreth specifically.
