Kettle - South Brazos

We came here before they close for good in November 2022. It's a very crowded place. Food is good and the atmosphere is great. They still have room for improvement on their service. Maybe a smile can make the difference besides helping with those small details like a missing salt shaker or ketchup.

There were few patrons at the time we were there but we were basically ignored the whole time we ate. It took 10 minutes to get our order taken. A different waitress brought our meal out. A third brought refills and the check. And we waited extra time after finishing to have the check picked up and a to-go box brought by the cashier . With only two or three other tables occupied in the entire restaurant service should have been at a much higher standard. I would have understood the delays if we had eaten during a rush .

Food was great. Hot warm pancakes, crispy bacon, eggs not too salty. Coffee was good too, not too strong or weak. I didn’t have to wait to be seated. The food I ordered was out in roughly 5-10mins. This was around 11:20am. Rachel (my server) was excellent filled my coffee before I even asked! She was very polite and showed excellent Customer Service. I will definitely return here again for breakfast.

This place was delicious! I had the biscuits and gravy and it reminded me of my grandma's cooking. Excellent service! The staff is so kind and definitely work hard to make it an enjoyable family meal.

This restaurant is so unpleasantly disgusting. There's flies flying some of everywhere in and around the bathroom area (one had flew in my glass of water the morning manager is so creepy and seemed to be such a a , there's mold and dust everywhere, the locks in both bathrooms needs replaced, one can see straight through on the stall locks in the ladies room, I saw 2 mid to full size cockroaches crawling on the to go lids, it felt like the AC was turned off and it was extremely hot in the restaurant, we were drenched in sweat before we got our food order which took almost 45 mins and some of our meals wasn't cooked and very was cold (we went on a Sunday but 45 mins??? the place is so outdated, the only positive I can say about our visit was the server. We knew she (all the waitresses were hot and miserable, she was extremely polite, customer service was fantastic, she was very courteous, just awesome all around. We've eaten here several times and have loved it but sadly, I highly doubt, we'll return.
