O'rourke's Public House - South Bend

Eating was really good, better than this review, but the service was sub par of the second we went in the door. They were not busy tonight. on the second thought was the mac and the cheese dry and felt as if he was sitting in the window. even if it were fresh, the ratio of mac would not have worked. it was a large bowl of noodles with a hauch cheese sauce. the host was distracted by his phone, then others on the personal. we finally sat there and saw the show of the staff just a good time. our server was nice and friendly, just seemed to run in circles as if she was really busy, but I'm pretty sure she had only us and 1 other table. maybe it will try again sometime, only hope management gets the place in order.

Nice bar. Pretty busy for a Sat afternoon in January. Wedding party I was with called ahead and was told there was an open back room but when we arrived with the bride and groom, no back room was offered. Place was busy and may have been short staffed as well. Servers were a bit hard to catch but very attentive when we ordered drinks and some food. Music was a bit loud for our tastes but didn't seem to bother anyone else. Would like to visit again.

On par with all the other reviews of this place the food is pretty good but the service is horrible. We sat down at the bar and the guy behind the bar looked at us and walked away. The food took forever to come out after we ordered at a time that wasn’t that busy. The salmon was really good but overall not worth the frustration of the service.

Please improve the food quality! Have been here multiple times already. The place is pretty and well decorated for a pub... My main concern with this place is food. This place is really not for good food. It's really not the best. One day they forgot to add chicken to my salad. The salad itself was quite mediocre. Today the Cookie Tini, which I had to wait for at leat 50 minutes, was also so so. My cookies were really too dry. I don't think I will keep buying dinners here. The Ruben bites are so salty.. . I would really enjoy this place much more if I could enjoy food here too. I also wish this place was a bit cleaner. The bathroom was quite dirty and the decorations are broken there. Honestly, this place has a great potential. The location is good. The decorations are quite nice. lot of people visit it. Please improve the menu, make it more tasty so people can feel proud for visiting you. Please also keep the hole place cleaner. I'm sure more people will be willing to buy food and drinks there once everything is more appealing and more tasty.

The food and atmosphere were decent but overpriced by a large amount. However, the service was an absolute joke. The waitress didn't seem to care about anything except getting away from our table as fast as possible. Both orders were wrong and included ingredients we didn't ask for, and others that weren't even listed on the menu! After taking 15 minutes to bring out our additional drinks, and forgetting EVERYTHING ELSE we asked for, the waitress merely said the word sorry and walked away. I'd recommend just staying away from this place, as other reviews indicate this is an ongoing problem that hasn't been addressed.
