Bidra med feedbackGreat for grabbing bite to eat on boat, or go for huge yummy affordable breakfast, can get very busy, especially on Saturdays and Sundays when all the locals stop by for brunch on outdoor patio
Even though the place was packed and lively, the servers did their best to keep up and were friendly. Breakfast was very good and reasonably priced. Lots of patrons seemed to know one another so it created a good vibe. There are other sit-down places to eat nearby, but this one is certainly worth the visit. BTW--I come out from Calgary each year for a month or more and Blind Bay is a wonderful place to stay on the Shuswap--reliably warm and sunny. This restaurant was a great addition to the town. It serves lunch too and closes at 3:00 during the summer. Offers ice cream and coffee to go.
Having had breakfast here twice in the past year, I can say that this is what a small resort area needs and people should expect, not some fancy high-end locale. The service was friendly, quick and if you avoid the busy times, it is nice to sit back and enjoy the local flavour of the place, which is currently being renovated. The home-made grain bread was especially good, and for about $8.- we got a full breakfast, with a nice piece of REAL ham plus the usual sides. There is another eatery around the corner on the waterfront which is a pleasant place to have lunch or supper during the high season, so this is NOT the only place to eat. There is also another small summer-only place off the main lake road, not far from this one, so options do exist. Blind Bay has lots to offer for visitors and locals.
We can always rely on a delicious homemade breakfast at this restaurant. The staff is friendly, although they may be short-handed on some days, which can lead to longer waits. This seems to be a common issue at many businesses nowadays.
The staff and food at this restaurant are fantastic! The prices are great. I just wish they were open for lunch as well.
