Schellville Grill - Sonoma

The food was quite good. However, for a BBQ restaurant, they don't focus much on BBQ sauce. There was none available on the table. The restaurant could use some renovations. While I understand the rustic aesthetic, it felt like the place was a bit neglected.

Don?t miss out on this place!! I really respect small restaurants that keep their menu small and focus on quality. Just the right amount of smoke and spice. The owner is fun and entertaining! The coleslaw is awesome!

If you are into DDD like I am it's a must do. The owner is great. Smoker out of Ennis, TX and education from Taylor, TX. This gentleman knows his BBQ. Slaw with a horse radish edge and great tri tip sandwich. Onion rings done to perfection.

Oh man. That was good. Had the pulled pork grilled cheese. And excellent coleslaw with no added salt or sugar. Really nice fellas. All around thumbs up.

We loved the local beer on tap, friendly and knowledgeable staff, the food was awesome- cleaned our plates. I thought the homemade potato salad was the best as a side! Eating alongside local farmers was a kick to listen to while we ate ?
