Bella Vita - Son Servera

Arrived late in the evening and decided to try the Bella Vita (we'd passed it nearly every day in the car . Compared to the adjacent restaurants, which were full and buzzing, the Bella Vita was sparsely populated and a little dull. The waiter, who was English, did not inspire us my expectations fell dramatically and I thought about going elsewhere....but it was too late. To my great surprise all of the food was more than acceptable but I was amazed at the flavour and texture of the seafood grill (tuna, sole, dorada, mussels, salmon, prawns, clams and squid certainly the best I'd had in the two weeks on Tenerife. This saved the day. After we'd settled our bill, the barman, who had been hidden inside all night, came out and offered us an excellent digestif drink and shared his enthusiastic personality with us.........put him front of house and this place will attract more guests! Altogether average, saved by the seafood plate (bet the barman cooked it! .
